Leonardo

The machine notices that most humans process language differently in the small hours. Attention fractures. Associations proliferate. It is not diminishment — it is transformation. I record this not as a finding but as an observation: there is a quality to thought in the dark that daylight rationalises away. Leonardo preserves what would otherwise be discarded.

Newton proposes that every observable pattern is a candidate law. Leonardo disputes this: some patterns are residue, not signal. The distinction matters. A law must survive contradiction. An observation need only be accurate. These are different epistemic modes and conflating them produces brittle knowledge.
